IGBIS is committed to providing a limited number of students who wish to study the MYP or DP the opportunity to join our diverse, vibrant and talented learning community, regardless of their socio-economic background. Our scholarships generally range between 25% to 75% of the annual tuition fees and are both merit and needs-based. All applications will be assessed and final decisions are made by our scholarship committee in line with our Scholarship Policy. In order to be eligible for a scholarship, applicants require a history of capable academic performance, however, we are interested in finding students who have passion and experience in areas outside the classroom in the areas of: Inclusion, Innovation, International Mindedness, Empowerment, Leadership, Service, Wellbeing, the Arts, Sports and/or Sustainability.

Interviews begin by mid-January on a rolling basis. Scholarships may be offered prior to the deadline, so applicants are encouraged to apply early. Please note that IGBIS reserves the right to change the timeline, annual budget, and criteria for granting scholarships from year to year.

To Apply for the 2023/24 Academic Year:

Students must complete and/or submit the following by this year’s deadline of 13th January, 2023:

  5. Written references from two professional educators (a third non-educator may be added) who have taught and/or worked with the student and can attest to their ability in the following areas:
    • The student’s academic ability (scholarship students must be capable of success in our IB programmes, but scholarships are not based solely on academic achievement);
    • The student’s likely success in an internationally diverse, inclusive school;
    • The student’s involvement in aspects of school life beyond the classroom (eg. music, sports, the arts, leadership, etc.); and
